Called náshdóí in the Navajo tribe. In most Native American Tribes, the Lynx represents hunting prowess. The Lynx is the ultimate hunter and will track his prey down. Once he finds his prey he will watch it for a period of time making sure he is alone with his prey. He will make sure there no passersby or intruders in the area before striking. Native American believe the Lynx has an hypnotic eye. In some cultures, the Lynx represents greed, selfishness, and a disregard for social behavior.
The Lynx measures 18 inches long by 9 1/2 inches high, the base the lynx is standing on, measures 23 inches long. The lynx is cut from 12 gauge steel the piece is painted with automotive grade primer and paints then finished with an automotive grade clear coat. Paints are UV protected. This stand-alone piece is mounted on a driftwood branch that has been untreated and is in the raw condition.
