The Raven is one of the most interesting animals in terms of symbolic meaning. It can be a negative symbol or a positive symbol depending on the tribe. For some the raven is known as a trickster, it represents laughter and joy. It is mischievous, curious and filled with mirth. And they are always playing pranks that are beneficial, in that they are usually providing a method for people to laugh at their own follies. For some tribes, they are guardians of scared and secret mysteries. In other tribes, they are always associated with psychic powers with their feathers often being used to aid in clairvoyance.
