“Tazhii” Navajo for turkey. Many traditional Navajo traditional tales involve the Tązhii. Turkey feathers or frequently used in some ceremonies. Turkeys are also credited with bringing seeds into the current World for the Navajo People to have an abundance of melons, squash, corn, and beans.
As for the white man, turkeys were important to the first colonist as a source of food. The turkey was almost selected as the symbol of the U.S. Today the wild turkey is one of if not the most hunted game birds in the U.S.
A must-have for any sportsman or outdoorsman’s den or man cave. Each piece is mounted on a piece of raw juniper. This wood is untreated. Each base will be different.
Quality Craftsmanship
The piece measures approximately 12 inches high by 16 inches high. Cut from 12 gauge steel. We use a thicker steel, approximately 1/8 inch, than our competitors. We feel this provides a more substantial piece with more eye appeal. Painted with automotive grade paints & primers and finished with an automotive grade clear coat. Paints are UV protected.
Options
These pieces are mounted on different woods and if preferred a metal base. The wood base may vary depending on what is on hand. On request, we can mount it on a polished metal or painted base at no extra charge. Just let us know what you prefer.
Custom Design
We do not carry a large inventory. We cater to you our Customer, for this reason, we usually cut orders as we receive them. In this way, if you require the piece to be modified (color, special hangers, etc) then we can accommodate your needs, usually without extra charges. As a rule, the only extra charge we will make will be for larger sizes….This requires us to put a fifteen day shipping time on the piece. Most of the time we ship sooner rather than later.
Unless requested by a Customer we do not use clip art or purchased designs. Like our other designs, this is an in-house Copyrighted© design. This is an heirloom quality piece that will be appreciated for generations to come.
